Eion O’Neill is a senior communication major at Cabrini College specializing in audio and video production as well as journalistic writing.
Since his freshmen year, Eion has been involved with his college radio station, 89.1 WYBF-FM as an on-air DJ. In August of 2010, Eion became the station’s Public Affairs Director, monitoring over FCC requirements concerning public affairs programming. In August of 2011, Eion became the station’s co-engineer.
In addition to radio, Eion has been a photographer and staff writer for Cabrini College’s award-winning newspaper, The Loquitur as well as news anchor and opinion anchor for the college’s newscast, Loqation. In the spring of 2011, Eion and a classmate composed an audio documentary on Cystic Fibrosis and Eion also wrote a one-act play.
Eion’s internships have included NewsWorks intern at NPR-affiliated WHYY-FM, Public Relations intern at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and media intern at the Philadelphia Phillies’ AAA ball-club The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.
